UCSI makes the top 1% for the fourth time

KUALA LUMPUR: UCSI University maintains its standing in the world’s top 1% for the fourth straight year after placing 269th in the QS World University Rankings 2026.

It is also the second straight year UCSI has placed in the top 270 of the competitive annual rankings, confirming its status as one of Asia’s top private universities.

“Being ranked in the world’s top 1% for four years is a significant achievement and I would like to acknowledge our students, staff and industry partners for their efforts,” said UCSI vice-chancellor Prof Emeritus Datuk Dr Siti Hamisah Tapsir.

“This milestone also reflects UCSI’s commitment to academic excellence, impactful research, global engagement and consequential graduate outcomes.

“We will build on this momentum, strengthen our international partnerships and set our sights even higher in the years to come.”

UCSI is one of Asia’s top private universities. It has nurtured four Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia inductees and an increasing number of its alumni are launching their own social enterprises.

Famous alumni include Malaysia’s queen of pop Aina Abdul, Astro Awani news anchor Cynthia Ng and award-winning photojournalist Annice Lyn, among many others.

UCSI also empowers many national athletes. National swimmer Khiew Hoe Yean and national diver Bertrand Rhodict Lises represented Malaysia at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics.
