Get your Covid-19 test for just RM60 at Laurent Bleu

KUALA LUMPUR, December 2 – Those who want to get the Covid-19 antigen rapid test could do so now for just RM60 at Laurent Bleu.
Laurent Bleu Medical Clinic, a subsidiary of UCSI Group, will be offering the service at CMC Centre in Taman Connaught, Cheras from 9am to 9pm daily beginning December 1.
Chief Executive Officer Natasha Ng said the current rate offered was part of the centre’s corporate social responsibility initiative to provide affordable Covid-19 testing for everyone, especially for the 1.7 million foreign workers in the country.
“This initiative is in line with the Government’s step to screen foreign workers based on the red zones.
“Ideally, our effort is to make this screening accessible to all and essentially flatten the curve,” Natasha Ng said.
The antigen rapid test-kits (RTK-Ag) costs between RM120 and RM180 at private healthcare facilities.
At Laurent Bleu's CSR initiative rate of RM60, and under Social Security Organisation (Socso)'s subsidisation of RM60, employers will be able to claim 100% for Socso-covered employees.
“We understand that the Ministry of Health (MOH) is doing all it can to address the COVID-19 outbreak, as the authorities focus on those who have had close contacts with confirmed cases or clusters.
“Employers trying to comply with the Government’s mandate of compulsory screening for foreign workers starting December 1, or anyone who wants to get themselves screened would not be able to do so at government healthcare facilities because they do not meet the criteria.
“For them, they may come to us and pay just RM60 and claim from SOCSO after.
She explained that the process from registering, swabbing, to obtaining the results would take approximately 30 minutes for one person.
Presently, Laurent Bleu conducts lab tests for Covid-19 swabs and offers the RT-PCR test through UCSI Molecular Lab.
