A global corporate veteran, Dr. Robert Bong, has more
than 30 years of experience in corporate and academic
sectors.
Dr. Bong has held the positions of Chief Executive Officer,
Managing Director and Board of Director of multinational
companies around the world, responsible for their international
growth, public listing, privatization, corporate transformation,
restructuring and corporate governance. These include
Nortel Networks in USA and India, CGS in USA, Keppel
T&T in Singapore and Germany, SVOA in Thailand, Lanka
Bell in Sri Lanka, CRICT Research in China and Blue
Ocean Strategy Consulting in India.
Prior to joining UCSI University, Dr. Bong lived in
Beijing and travelled to work in India on alternate
months. He has been working with TsingHua University
in China on entrepreneurship and career development
programmes, and with T.A.PAI Management Institute in
India on Blue Ocean Strategy programmes. As an Angel
Investor and Business Mentor, Dr. Bong is the Entrepreneur-in-Residence
with the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship
under the Singapore Management University, and INSEAD
in France. He also served as Advisor to the Sampoerna
Education Foundation in Indonesia.
