MASholidays And UCSI Host Korean Students For Edu – Vacation Youth Programme

Kuala Lumpur, 15th February 2012 - MASHolidays, the travel and tour arm of the Malaysia Airlines and partner of UCSI University, welcomed the arrival of 18 South Korean students participating in the Edu-Vacation Youth Programme at the KL International Airport (KLIA).

The students from Dong Shin University, Seoul, will spend a month at the UCSI University Kuala Lumpur Campus in Cheras for their English Holiday Programme. The programme includes language classes, role-plays, games, as well as leisure activities like visits to Kuala Lumpur City and the historical Melaka town.

This group of foreign students travelled by Malaysia Airlines to Malaysia for the Edu-Vacation programme that was introduced by MASHolidays together with three of the UCSI Group subsidiary companies: the UCSI Professional Academy, the UCSI Extension in Sarawak and the UCSI University of Terengganu; to cultivate  leadership, the acquisition of English language skills and exposure to multiculturalism.

Introduced in July 2011, the Edu-Vacation programme aims to promote the Malaysian culture worldwide and to put the nation on the map as a leading tourist and education destination. This two-in-one programme provides a unique combination for learning and travel.

As an extension of the popular Malaysia Stopover MASHolidays package, this education package is part of its continuous efforts to promote offerings to customers through a series of niche packages. By promoting Malaysia to medium and long-haul markets like Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Japan and ASEAN, it aims to gain visitors from these areas that would contribute greatly to its tourism sector, one of the 12 National Key Economic Areas of the government’s Economic Transformation Plan. Besides, this programme also contributes positively to reinforce the nation’s status globally as a leading tourist and education destination.

Available as a one-week intensive programme or a one-month programme, the Edu-Vacation Youth Programme is offered to a small group of 5 as for a family, or to a group of more than 10 persons from schools, colleges or universities. More details are available at http://holiday.malaysiaairlines.com
