Kuala Lumpur, 9 July 2010 - Prestigious guests and dancing marked this year’s “Malam Sedaya” and Sedaya Concert, held in Section 13 at the Sri Sedaya School Hall. The gathering welcomed parents and UCSI officials to the school, who enjoyed a dinner and performances by the students.

UCSI Group Chairman Dato’ Peter Ng attended the event, along with Sekolah Sri Sedaya Chairman Datin Lily Ng, directors of the school, and Sri Sedaya CEO Dr. Shih Toong Siang. Dr. Shih opened the event with a welcome speech, followed by a speech by Mr. Muhammad Abdullah, chairman of Sekolah Sri Sedaya’s Parent Teacher Committee.

The performances featured students and teachers from the primary and secondary sections of Sekolah Sri Sedaya presenting a variety of dances ranging from hip hop to classical ballet to traditional cultural dances. The programme had also been performed the day before during the Sedaya Concert in front of an audience of 500 students from other parts of the community.

“Malam Sedaya” concluded with a surprise dance by program directors and staff including Dato’ Peter, Datin Lily, directors, teachers and Dr. Shih.
