Kuala Lumpur, 12 May 2010 - On May 12, 2010, UCSI Blue Ocean Strategy Regional Centre (BOSRC) sub-licensed the exclusive business rights to the Strategic Business Development Center (SBDC) Co. Ltd to conduct the commercial Blue Ocean Strategy in Thailand. The agreement was signed between the Managing Director of Strategic Business Development Center Co. Ltd., Mr. Rath Damrongsri and the founder as well as the Group President of UCSI Group, Dato’ Peter Ng Tong Se. This marks a new journey that both parties would embark together in the quest of extending the practice of Blue Ocean Strategy in Thailand.

Blue Ocean Strategy is a business strategy that emphasizes on the simultaneous pursuit of differentiation and low-cost efforts of creating new market space. This strategy is purposed to make competition irrelevant by creating leap in value for both the company and the buyers. Blue Ocean Strategy had been proven as a practical approach in the generation of ideas that will lead to breakthrough growth in businesses.

As an answer to the global economy woes, the establishment of UCSI BOSRC in June 2008 as one of the subsidiary companies of the UCSI group rises as a hope to the nation’s economy, as UCSI BOSRC specializes in assisting companies to tap into new market space with value innovation.
